Happy Wednesday Stampers & Crafters! I’m continuing to craft with the Decorative Borders stamp set that will be available January 4th! Today I created this simple Decorative Borders Birthday Card.
Decorative Borders Birthday Card Details
I started with a Smokey Slate card base and then used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out a layer in Petal Pink and then again in Smokey Slate. Then adhered both to the card base with Stampin’ Seal. Next I used a smaller Stitched Rectangle Die to cut out a piece of Petal Pink for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from the Lovely & Lasting stamp set in Basic Gray Ink and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Next I used two dies from the Poppy Moments Dies and cut two leaves out in Vellum. I layered those to the front with Fine Tip Glue Pen. Then I stamped the flower image on a scrap of Basic White card stock in Tuxedo Black Ink and colored the image in with Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut the image out using my Paper Snips! (I’m not huge fan of fussy cutting lol)
Next I tied a Linen bow adhered it with a Glue Dot and then placed the stamped image over it using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also placed a few Classic Matte Dots on the front of the card.
For the inside I layered Petal Pink and Basic White card stock, then I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it using the stamp Stampin’ Blends.
Lastly I finished it off with a matching envelope! Thanks for swinging by today – check out what I did earlier this week with the Decorative Borders stamp set from Stampin’ UP! HERE!
