Hi Stampers & Crafters …. I’ve had a bit of a crazy last two weeks and I’m behind on my crafting! I needed to get some Grad cards ready for my card booth our local Farmers Market! So I CASEd Beautiful Balloons Grad Card from Sarah Schatilo from www.sassypapercrafts.com. You can see her card HERE! (plus she did an awesome video on it too)!
Beautiful Balloons Grad Card Details
My card base starts with Merry Merlot card stock although it’s retired you can substitute Blackberry Bliss. I made this card for our local High School Auburn Maroons and yes their colors are maroon and white! Next I layered a Basic Black card stock to the front. Then on a Basic White panel I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set in Merry Merlot but remember you can use other colors! I die cut the label from the Something Fancy Dies and stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments (retired) in Merry Merlot. I wanted to use the Charming Sentiments stamp set but I lost my Congrats stamp from there!
Next I die-cut the balloons using the Beautiful Balloons Dies. I die-cut the stars using the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. I stamped the balloon tails and adhered the balloons with Stampin’ Seal to the tails!
For the grad hat I cut a square 1 1/2″ x 1/2″ from Merry Merlot card stock. I then took a scrap piece and punched the circle with a regular hole punch. Next I die cut the tassel using the Beautiful Balloons Dies. I adhered to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also adhered the two stars with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the tiny outline star I adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I added a few Classic Matte Dots in Black to the front!
To finish off the inside I layered a Basic White card stock panel and stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set in Merry Merlot and stamped the confetti images in Tuxedo Black Ink!
