Greetings Stampers & Crafters! This week I’m crafting and creating with the Color & Contour Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! Today I created the Color & Contour Happy Birthday Card. This was very simple to put together so if you have been thinking about getting into card making and think it might be to hard it really isn’t!
Color & Contour Happy Birthday Card
I started with a Basic White card base. Then I layered a piece of Tahitian Tide card stock cut at 5 1/4 x 4 and adhered it to the card base with Stampin’ Seal. Next I cut a piece of Basic White card stock to 5 x 3 3/4 and embossed it with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered the embossed panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I used the Two Step technique to stamp the images using Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet Ink. Cut the images out using the Scalloped Contour Dies and adhered them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals!
To finish it off I stamped the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set in Tahitian Tide ink and cut it out using the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies (which I love because I’m not big on Fussy Cutting!!). I adhered it to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Guess what I forgot though! My “bling” boo-hoo – oh well next time I will add some “bling”.
I did make a matching envelope though! TIP On Two Step Stamping: This isn’t supposed to be perfect at least not for me. But if you want the flower images to line up more with the black stamped image you can always use the Stampartus to line it up better. But for me I like how it is off balance a bit more!
