Happy Wednesday Stampers & Crafters! I decided the rest of this week I wanted to craft and create with some of the products that are retiring! One of my favorites is the Boughs of Holly Suite Collection! So today I created the Boughs of Holly Slimline Card – inspired by my leader Tami White!
This card was actually pretty easy to put together. The measurements are listed below. I started with a white card base and then layered Real Red and Basic Black card stock on top. Next I cut a piece of the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and layered that on top as well – all with Stampin’ Seal. Then I layered a piece of Vellum to the top to soften the DSP up a bit. Now with the Vellum you need to be careful how you adhere it – so I used Mini Glue dots where I knew I was going to adhere the other elements to cover up the dots.
I used the Rectangle Square Dies and cut out a piece of Basic White card stock to stamp the sentiment on using Real Red Ink. Then I fussy cut the flower out of the same Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper (you know my love of fussy cutting lol). I then colored the Textural Elements with Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered some Real Red Ribbon to the back of the sentiment with Stampin’ Blends. Then I adhered both the flower and the sentiment to the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To finish it off I added Wink of Stella to the Berrys (which is kind of hard to see in the pic) and then of course I had to add my “bling” 2021-2023 In-Color Opal Rounds.
